Offseason Program Countdown: 3 Days

Posted Apr 18, 2014

Believe it or not, the beginning of the Eagles' 2014 season is rapidly approaching. Players will report back to the NovaCare Complex on April 21 for the start of the Eagles offseason program. Join us as we count down until the Eagles are back in town …

Trent Cole may have gotten off to a bit of a slow start in 2013 in terms of sacks, but that all changed in the second half of the season. The hunter recorded 8.0 sacks in the Eagles final eight games, and his three-sack performance against Chicago in Week 16 was the highest single-game sack total for any Eagle all season. His three tackles for loss against Washington and then again later against Minnesota were also single-game bests.

First Eagle To Wear 3: B Roger "Red" Kirkman (1933-35)
Current Eagle To Wear 3: QB Mark Sanchez (2014- present)

K Mark Moseley (1970)

Moseley was drafted by the Eagles in the 14th round of the 1970 draft. A kicker from Stephen F. Austin, Moseley was the 346th overall pick. He played just one season for the Eagles (1970), during which he hit 14 of 25 field goal attempts.

Though his Eagles career was short-lived, Moseley went on to achieve something that no other kicker, or any special teams player for that matter, has ever done in the history of the league. As a member of the Washington Redskins during the strike-shortened season of 1982, Moseley was successful on 20 of his 21 field goal attempts, which at the time gave him a single-season record 95.2 success rate. For his efforts, Moseley was awarded the AP Most Valuable Player Award. His success carried into the playoffs, as he hit two field goals and all three extra point attempts in the Redskins' 27-17 victory over Miami in Super Bowl XVII.

Moseley played 17 seasons in the league, 13 of which came with the Redskins. A two-time Pro-Bowl selection (1979 & 1982) and a First Team All-Pro pick (1982) Moseley is Washington's all-time leading scorer with 1,206 career points.
