"You've got to go out and be productive, not just for me but for everybody on this football team. We're holding everybody accountable and responsible right now for doing their jobs," Vick said. "That's all it is."
"The season's not lost but there needs to be some drastic changes and we need to do it," Celek said. "It needs to be shown on the field."
"Everybody making sure we're together, making sure that we're working towards the same goal," Jenkins said. "We're all on the same page. No one is pointing the finger or letting anything come between (us in) the locker room. There's a lot of negativity floating around right now outside of the team. We have to make sure that it stays outside of the team and it doesn't come into the locker room. That way we can focus on the right things, focus on getting things corrected and getting things solved that we need to."
Jenkins said that of all the players who addressed the team, it was linebacker
"DeMeco's a real vocal guy," Jenkins said. "He's got a lot of energy, intensity. I think when DeMeco talks his words carry far."
Will the players-only meeting work? Celek said it "all depends on how we play Monday" when they travel to play the New Orleans Saints.
"It was good that it happened, but it's over now and hopefully it translates onto the field," he said.
