Biography

Boasting rare collegiate experience at three offensive and one defensive position, Emil Igwenagu (pronounced eh-MEAL ig-wen-AH-goo) was promoted to the Eagles active roster on 12/12/12 after spending Weeks 1-14 on the team’s practice squad and saw valuable snaps at both fullback and tight end. A rookie free agent signing out of UMass by the Birds in 2012, the former Minuteman was a two-year team captain and a first team All-Colonial Athletic Association tight end/halfback his senior year. Igwenagu was a star at Holy Name Catholic High School, leading his team to two Division II Super Bowl championships.
