Biography

A sixth-round selection of the Cleveland Browns in 2010, Clifton Geathers (pronounced gathers) was acquired by the Eagles in a trade with Indianapolis during the 2013 offseason. In 2012, Geathers helped provide depth on the Colts defensive line, appearing in eight games during the team’s run to the playoffs. A native of Hemingway, SC, Geathers comes from a football family as his father, uncle and two brothers have all spent time in the NFL. Geathers was a standout at South Carolina, where he recorded 72 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and six sacks during his three years with the Gamecocks.
