Biography

A veteran of 11 NFL seasons, Donnie Jones signed a three-year deal with the Eagles following the 2013 season after proving to be a difference maker on special teams in his first year with the Birds, setting a franchise record in net punting average (40.4) while downing a career-high 33 kicks inside the 20-yard line. A two-time All-Pro selection with St. Louis from 2008-09, Jones is one of seven players in NFL history to record a 50.0 gross punting average in a single season, accomplishing that feat in 2008. Originally a seventh-round draft choice of the Seahawks in 2004, Jones finished his collegiate career ranked second in LSU history in gross punting average (42.0) and first in Tigers annals in total punts (233).
