Biography



A versatile and athletic tight end, Casey signed a three-year deal with the Eagles on the first day of free agency in 2013 after spending the first four years of his career with the Houston Texans. Originally a fifth round draft choice of Houston in 2009, the multi-faceted Casey was drafted in the seventh round of the 2003 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox and spent three years in their organization before ultimately retiring to pursue a career in football in 2006. Casey spent two years at Rice and set school records as a sophomore in 2008 before entering the NFL draft. He then returned to Rice in the 2011 offseason to complete his degree as he triple majored in economics, managerial studies and sport management, and minored in business.
